Sacrament of Confirmation | St. Eugene Church, Quetta

Quetta (Haroon Sadiq): In the sacrament of Confirmation, 76 baptized are “sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit” and strengthened for service to the Body of Christ by Msgr. Victor Gnanapragasam, bishop of Apostolic Prefecture of Quetta on October 16, 2016 at St. Eugene Catholic Church, Quetta.

“Christ Himself is the founder of this sacrament. Christ endowed his spirit to the apostles and the same spirit is given to the all followers of Christ”, said Fr. Kashif Ghauri OMI, parish priest in his Homily.
“We are able to carry out the mission of Christ in the world only with the help of this Holy Spirit. We are anointed and chosen to bear witness to Christ in and through our lives” he ended.

St. Eugene Catholic Church, Quetta is a part Apostolic Prefecture of Quetta. The Prefecture was established on November 9, 2001 from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Hyderabad and the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Karachi. The first Prefect Apostolic has been Fr. Victor Gnanapragasam of the Oblates of Mary Immaculate.
