Seminary makes us herald we must be Loyal till death, Fr. Benjamin Shahzad


Karachi: On 05-04-2017 Christ the King family had celebrated the completion of 60 years of Christ the King seminary. This day was organized specially to give tribute too late, His Holiness Pope Pius XII, who has issued a decree (Decretum) to build a regional seminary in Karachi Pakistan. On 5th April, 1957AD the Decree from the Congregation of the Faith was issued for officially erection of the regional Seminary Christ the King.

All the CKS family had participated actively, according to their responsibilities. Being the head of the Seminary, the Rector of CKS Rev. Fr. Benjamin Shahzad Celebrated the Holy Mass along with Fr. Indrias Rehmat, Fr. Shahzad Niamat, Fr. Shahbaz Nazir brothers and some lay faithful.

In his sermon he highlights the role of seminary in forming the local church leaders. Then he emphasized on the role of the future leaders that they should do what the seminary taught and this learning may not only for be the seminary life but for the rest of one life. He said, seminary makes us heralds of Christ so we need not to give our time and talents only to the seminary but our lives until death.

This is not the end of the celebration, after holy mass CKS culture committee arranged a program, which was based on the life of Pope Pius XII. Br. Asim, student of theology I shared about the life of Pope Pius XII and Bro. Patrick student of Theology III shared a detailed history of the seminary. They did well. CKS choir also shared their joy by singing thanksgiving songs.

At the end Fr. Benjamin Shahzad thanks to CKS staff individually by accepting their great role in the formation of the future leaders. At the end speech once again he stressed on the same insight be loyal and obedient and give your level best to the seminary not your time and talents.” Finally the celebration was ended with the festive meal.
