God Himself is our ultimate source of healing, Archbishop Shaw

Adha (Sialkot): In a somber gathering at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church, Adha Parish, a memorial Mass was held on September 12, 2023, to commemorate the lives of six young souls tragically lost in a road accident. Zeeshan Iqbal, Chand Javed, Aman Joseph, Sharon Gulzar, Sahil Shahid, and Adil Aslam were on their Annual Pilgrimage to Mariamabad, a sacred journey dedicated to honoring the Blessed Virgin Mary when the tragic incident occurred.




The Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by His Grace Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw, Archbishop of Lahore along with the participation of Fr. William Basharat, the Parish Priest, and several other clergy of the diocese. As the congregation gathered to mourn the untimely loss of these vibrant young individuals, Archbishop Shaw offered words of solace and encouragement, seeking to provide comfort amidst profound sorrow.

Archbishop Shaw reminded the gathered faithful that in times of deep wounds and overwhelming grief, it is God Himself who becomes the ultimate source of healing. He emphasized that when we faced with immense sorrow, it is through our Creator that we find genuine solace. The archbishop’s words resonated deeply with those in attendance, offering a ray of hope in the midst of their anguish.
