World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life Celebrated in Karachi
Karachi: The World Day of Prayer for Consecrated Life was celebrated at St. Joseph Convent Hall in Karachi on February 2, 2025. The event was organized by the Sisters’ Association of the Archdiocese of Karachi to coincide with the Feast of the Presentation of the Lord.
The special day was graced by the presence of Archbishop Benny Mario Travas, who expressed his gratitude to the sisters for their dedicated service in the Archdiocese of Karachi. He congratulated them on this special day and encouraged them to continue their good work in the vineyard of the Lord.
The guest speaker for the occasion was Fr. Shakeel Ghouri (OMI), who delivered a comprehensive talk on the Vatican’s concept of consecrated life and the services of sisters in Pakistan. Later, Holy Mass was later celebrated at St. Joseph Convent Chapel, led by Fr. Shakeel Ghouri. The sisters participated in a procession, carrying candles and singing the entrance hymn. They also sang the Jubilee Song and placed their candles at a designated spot.
Approximately 50 sisters from various congregations attended the celebration. The event provided an opportunity for the sisters to come together and renew their commitment to their consecrated life.
