Archdiocese of Lahore distributed cheques among the Youhanabad Victims

Lahore (Fr. Francis Gulzar): Devastated innocent residents of Youhanabad Lahore who were arrested on Sunday, March 15, 2015 were freed on Wednesday, January 29, 2020.




Archbishop Sebastian Francis Shaw led a thanksgiving mass for the victims along with Father Francis Gulzar Vicar General Archdiocese of Lahore and other priests on Monday, February 17, 2020 at Sacred Heart Cathedral Lahore 10:00 am.

During his homily Archbishop said “This is not about winning or losing it’s about increasing a person’s morale. From this aid you can start a small business, serve your families in a better way and become a part of our country’s progress”.

For this cause, after the mass had been celebrated, on behalf of Catholic Church Archdiocese of Lahore each victim was given a cheque of Rs 50,000 with a total amount PKR 2,000,000/- (Two Million Rupee).

Revered Father Francis Gulzar Vicar General Archdiocese of Lahore encouraged them saying “You have our complete support so that you can become responsible citizens”.

In the end they were served with refreshments.
