Dominican Sisters Renew Commitment at Mid-Term Assembly
Faisalabad: Mid-Term Assembly of the Dominican Sisters was held from 26 to 28 December 2025 in Faisalabad marking a grace-filled time of prayer, reflection, and communal discernment. The Assembly brought together the sisters to review the journey of the past two years, deepen their spiritual commitment, and renew their dedication to the Dominican charism.
The Assembly began on 26 December with an opening prayer, a warm welcome, and the official distribution of important documents by the Prioress Provincial, Sr. Parveen Lal, O.P. The theme, “Be Vigilant to Cultivate Wisdom and Faith in Service,” was formally introduced, setting the tone for the days ahead. The message of the Prioress General, Sr. Viviana Sisak, O.P., invited the sisters to reflection and renewal, encouraging them to remain faithful and alert in their mission of service.

On 27 December, the day commenced with a solemn Eucharistic celebration presided over by His Excellency Dr. Bishop Indrias Rehmat. The first session featured a profound biblical reflection on Matthew 25:1–13, presented by Dr. Rev. Fr. Faryad Anser, highlighting vigilance, wisdom and faith as essential virtues for consecrated life and service. Group discussions and sharing sessions provided space for personal and communal renewal. A significant moment of the day was the presentation of the Two Years’ Report by Sr. Parveen Lal, O.P., followed by thanksgiving through the recitation of the Psalms.
The Assembly concluded on 28 December with a Holy Mass presided over by Rev. Fr. Pascal Paulus, O.P., celebrated on the Feast of the Holy Family. In his homily, he emphasized vigilance, mutual support, and appreciation within religious communities. Sisters reflected on the Provincial Prioress’ report, engaging in open dialogue through questions, insights, appreciations and suggestions. Sr. Parveen Lal, O.P., responded with wisdom and clarity, concluding the Assembly with words of gratitude that underlined unity, teamwork, and shared responsibility.
The Mid-Term Assembly 2025 was truly a moment of grace, strengthening bonds of communion and renewing the sisters’ commitment to faithful service in the Church and society.
