Priests Celebrate Jubilee Program with Holy Mass in Karachi

Karachi: On 4th August 2025, the Archdiocese of Karachi hosted a Jubilee program for its priests, honoring their dedication and service to the Church. The event was held at St. Patrick’s Cathedral and was attended by Cardinal Joseph Coutts and numerous priests from the archdiocese.




The program began with a rosary recitation, led by Fr. Alex Gori, followed by reflections from Fathers Afzal Gulfam, Sullivan Joshua, and Akash Akram. The theme of the jubilee program was “Priestly Life and Ministry,” and Fr. Arthur Charles delivered a keynote address on this topic. He reflected on the significance of priestly life and ministry, emphasizing the importance of faithfulness and dedication to God’s mission.

The priests then proceeded from St. Joseph’s College to St. Patrick’s Cathedral, carrying a jubilee cross. During the procession, they stopped for adoration, led by Fr. Asif John, and offered prayers and blessings. This was a meaningful moment for the priests to come together and reflect on their vocation.

A holy mass was celebrated, led by Fr. Arthur Charles, concelebrated by senior priests, including Very Rev. Fr. Edward Joseph, Fr. Samuel George, Fr. Saleh Diego, and Fr. Nazir Nawab. The mass was a central part of the jubilee program, and the priests came together to offer worship and thanksgiving.

The highlight of the program was the celebration of Fr. Arthur Charles’s 40 years of priestly service. Cardinal Joseph Coutts and other priests attended the ceremony, where a cake was cut to commemorate this milestone. Fr. Arthur Charles expressed his gratitude to God for the gift of priesthood and the opportunity to serve the Church for 40 years. He emphasized the importance of remaining faithful to God’s mission and serving the people with dedication and love.

The jubilee program was a meaningful celebration of the priesthood and ministry in the Archdiocese of Karachi. It provided an opportunity for the priests to reflect on their vocation, renew their commitment, and express gratitude to God for the gift of priesthood. The event concluded with a sense of joy and appreciation for the dedication and service of the priests. Fr. Anthony Abrahim played a significant role in the program.
