We should take good care of nature, Bishop Joseph Arshad
Faisalabad: Caritas Pakistan Faisalabad launched one million tree plantation campaigns on 9th March, 2017 under Climate Change Program. His Lordship Bishop Joseph Arshad, Chairman Caritas Pakistan Faisalabad began this campaign by planting a tree in the premises of Caritas office. He was accompanied by Diocesan Executive Secretary, Mr. Farhan Lawrence and other staff members of the organization. At this event Staff of Catholic Board of Education Faisalabad Diocese and Staff of Catholic Women Association were there.
His Lordship, Bishop Joseph Arshad shared his views about the importance of trees as well; the negative impacts if trees are felled down on the environment and ecology.
He added that through the word of God they learned that they are being challenged to serve Him by saving His people from destruction through first replenishing nature and taking good care of it.
The other speakers Mr. Farhan Lawrence Diocesan Executive Secretary and Mr. Khushi Peter Peace Building Coordinator also illustrated the need and importance of planting of trees in the country to defeat the rapidly growing element of deforestation in the region moreover; the launched tree plantation campaign is to create awareness among the masses about services being rendered tree in our life and their role in making the environment balance.
