Building Bridges Book Launched at Youhanabad-Lahore
Youhanabad-Lahore: On December 21, 2025, Don Bosco Technical and Youth Center, Youhanabad, hosted a meaningful and well-attended book launch ceremony for “Building Bridges”, the newly published work by Fr. Lazar Aslam OFM Cap. The event brought together members of the Franciscan fraternity, the Salesian community, clergy and young people associated with the center, creating an atmosphere of fellowship, reflection and shared mission.
The book was formally launched by Fr. Marek Miszczyński OFM Cap and Fr. William Chang OFM Cap, both Definitor Generals of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin. Their presence added significance to the occasion and highlighted the importance of the publication within the wider Franciscan fraternity. Also present were Custos Fr. Ejaz Bashir OFM Cap and Fr. Danish Daniel OFM Cap, Councillor to the Custos, whose participation reflected the strong support and encouragement of the Custody for Fr. Lazar’s work.

The program was hosted by Fr. Nobel Lal SDB, Rector of Don Bosco Technical & Youth Center and the sponsor of the book’s publication. In his welcoming remarks, Fr. Nobel Lal appreciated the author’s efforts and emphasized the relevance of the book’s message for today’s pastoral realities, especially among youth and marginalized communities. His leadership and warm hospitality provided a fitting and welcoming environment for the launch.
During the event, Fr. Lazar Aslam OFM Cap shared insights into the inspiration behind “Building Bridges”. He explained that the book focuses on themes of dialogue, mutual understanding and pastoral engagement, encouraging readers to foster meaningful connections within the Church & society. The message resonated deeply with participants, particularly the young people present, who were encouraged to become bridge-builders in their own contexts.
The gathering also offered attendees an opportunity to interact personally with the author and reflect on how the book’s themes can be applied in pastoral ministry, community life, and inter-personal relationships. The event concluded on a note of gratitude, fellowship and renewed commitment to the values of unity, dialogue and service that “Building Bridges” seeks to promote.
