Diocesan Clergy Karachi Participates in Friendly Cricket Tournament
Karachi: On 15th March 2025, a friendly cricket tournament was organized by the Catholic Board of Education, Karachi (CBE-K) at the St. Patrick’s High School ground. The event featured three teams: CBE-K I, CBE-K II and Diocesan Clergy XI.
The first match was played between CBE-K I and Diocesan Clergy XI. The latter’s impressive bowling and fielding restricted CBE-K I to 69 runs in 6 overs. In response, Diocesan Clergy XI achieved the required runs in just 3 overs without losing a wicket.

The second match saw CBE-K I taking on CBE-K II. CBE-K I won the toss and chose to bat, scoring 87 runs in the allotted overs. CBE-K II put up a good fight but ultimately lost by a single run.
The third match featured CBE-K II against Diocesan Clergy XI. Father Aamir Bhatti’s team won the toss and elected to bat, achieving a total score of 125 runs in 6 overs without losing a wicket. CBE-K II started well but lost their way, managing only 99 runs in 6 overs.
The final match was played between a combined team of CBE-K I and CBE-K II and Diocesan Clergy XI. CBE-K won the toss and chose to bat, scoring 115 runs in 6 overs. Diocesan Clergy XI fell short by 15 runs, handing CBE-K the tournament victory. The trophy was lifted by Mr. Ghazanfar, captain of CBE-K I.
